Ugh.why do networking components always seem to have such GARBAGE documentation?Īnyway, I've submitted tech support requests from Gigabyte and Intel, and haven't gotten a reply after 4 days, and pulling my hair out. Although.I have to assume this is just a cord for USB pass-through for the seemingly un-used USB port on the card itself? Or.maybe the cord isn't plugged in to the right spot on the motherboard? It says to connect the "USB" cable to the "F-USB" connector on the motherboard, but I didn't have one, so I plugged it into the JUSB1 connector. I wonder.if maybe I have too many things plugged in to my motherboard's PCI-e slots? (video card, gigabit network card, and this wi-fi card (my motherboard doesn't support gigabit, nor did it have built in wi-fi) along with an M.2 drive) Is that a thing? Thanks again, it is greatly appreciated.I've tried un-installing and re-installing both Gigabyte's and Intel's drivers, i've tried restoring bios defaults (a suggestion I saw somewhere), many re-boots, to no avail. Also have a G3258 intel cpu in here in case you need to know but I doubt it. FYI the Bluetooth doesn't work without the usb hookup but the wi-fi does. I am assuming it cant be split like a fan can because I dont see any splitters for the F-USB available when I search.Īnyway, its a Gigabyte H81N mini ITC in a Rosewill La Cube case which is impossible to work in because it so small and I have sausage fingers to begin with lol. So if I can put it anyplace else to power it (i assume), I would like to know because I am not tech enough to make that call on my own so I really appreciate the help even if its to say it cant be done. It says to put it into the F-USB which I see only one of on my mobo and it is taken by the front usb ports which I need. If you could provide mobo model and pic of how you arranged your external components it would be helpful. But your motherboard should have at least a few pci slots for adding eternal components.
If this is your product : the only way to install it(if i am not mistaking) is to insert it directly onto the motherboard.
